![]() I modelled a church on 3ds max, painted some polygons with flashy colors, made a low poly version, baked my texture etcĪt first i had trouble with obtaining a good id map, due to max frontal/max rear distance setting (any tips about this ? i lost so much time figuring this out), i finally obtained a pretty clean id map and could use some masks, it worked greatīut the problem i later encounterd was some kind of "gradient" between parts of my uv, basically i had a 1px line acting as a gradient betwenn two different colors, and sometimes it was visible on my model (as a white thin line) sometimes it wasn't, when i finally identified the problem i exported my ID map and corrected the various area on photoshop so i managed to get around the problem and fix it, but my question is : how could i avoid it in the first place ? maybe separating my UV by materials in 3ds max more, or is there any option i missed ? I learned a lot by watching various tutorials online but there's some issues i only partially solved. ![]() Hi, everybody, i'm new to substance painter and trying to learn this software pretty much from scratch
